Four Pennsylvania teens killed in fatal car accident

by | Jul 8, 2011 | Car Accidents

A school in Pennsylvania has been brought together after an unexpected tragedy took the lives of four high school students. The four were in a car when it drove off the road and crashed into a tree. Investigators are still trying to determine whether the driver of the car had been under the influence of any type of substance.

In the aftermath of a fatal car accident, the family and friends of those who were killed are faced with a number of considerations. No doubt they must deal with the sorrow and grief that comes with the loss of a loved one. It can be difficult when there are so many questions that often remain unanswered.

One question that police are still grappling with is who was driving the vehicle. According to the report, the teenagers were in a car that was going at a high speed. One witness told the police officer that had clocked the vehicle that it had passed them and had bottomed out. The bottom of the car was touching the ground, emitting sparks.

It appears that by the time the officer was able to catch up to the vehicle, it had already gone off the road into the tree. Responders at the scene found that the roof off the car had been torn off in the wreck and all four teenagers had been ejected from the vehicle.

All four high school students were killed in the crash. Though the details are sparse, officers did comment that the deaths have been ruled an accident. Investigators are still waiting on the toxicology results – there had been drug paraphernalia at the accident scene.

No matter what the results are, the lives of those who knew the four teens will never be the same.
