Was Your SSD Claim Denied?

You should not be discouraged if your claim for Social Security Disability benefits has been denied. The Social Security Administration routinely denies the majority of initial applications whether the claims are worthy or not. At Shollenberger Januzzi & Wolfe, our lawyers have a track record of success in helping our clients obtain benefits upon appeal.

Whether your claim has been denied or you are making an initial application for disability benefits, our attorneys offer a free initial consultation to discuss your case and answer your questions. With offices in Harrisburg and Enola, we represent Social Security Disability and Supplemental Security Income claimants throughout central Pennsylvania.

Understanding The Disability Claim Appeals Process

If your SSD claim is denied, you will receive a letter of denial from the Social Security Administration called a Notice of Disapproved Claim. This letter will notify you of your right to request a hearing in front of a judge. At the hearing, you can submit additional medical documentation to support your disability claim, including letters from your doctor. You should hire a disability lawyer to represent you at this hearing. In the majority of cases we handle, our attorneys are successful in helping our clients obtain benefits at the hearing stage.

If your claim is not successful at the hearing stage, our lawyers can help you appeal your case to the Social Security Appeals Council.

Our lawyers can help you at any stage of the appeals process. The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can help you document your disability claim for a successful appeal.
