Motorcycle accidents take the lives of three individuals

Last week, a number of crashes occurred in the Pennsylvania area including two motorcycle accidents. Within a matter of six hours, four accidents occurred in which five people were killed. Getting into an accident is a frightening experience and can happen unexpectedly.

For motorcyclists, accidents can be especially devastating given the size difference of a motorcycle versus the other vehicles on the road. The two motorcycle crashes left three individuals dead and one more critically injured.

The first accident occurred in the evening when a motorcyclist crashed into a large SUV. The motorcyclist was approaching an intersection where the SUV had come to a stop at the stop sign. The SUV started to turn and the motorcyclist collided with the vehicle, striking the driver's side of the vehicle.

The motorcyclist died at the scene of the crash after being ejected from the motorcycle. The driver of the SUV and his passenger had to be pulled from the wreckage; both were brought to nearby hospitals. The driver did not survive; the passenger was most recently reported in critical condition.

Just a few hours later, another fatal motorcycle crash occurred. Police reported that a man crashed into a guardrail and concrete wall; he had been on his motorcycle. He was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment but died soon after the crash.

When a family loses a loved one in a motorcycle accident, there are a lot of considerations. There is the emotional trauma of an unexpected death as well as the time necessary to mourn the loss. But in addition, there are things like medical costs, funeral expenses and lost wages that families are forced to deal with.

Families can seek compensation for their loss but the process can be complicated and frustrating. It helps to speak with someone who fully understands the legal implications of a fatal accident and what the best solutions are for each specific situation.
